Sport

Milan offers many attractions for SPORT lovers

Sport is always at home in Milan, where there are regular events in many fields and at all levels, from tennis to gymnastics, from basketball to volleyball

Milan invented the “Stramilano”, a fun-run open to everyone, not just enthusiasts or the so-called "Sunday runners". There’s the Milan Marathon, too, a run of more than 42km in November over a good flat course: very fast, for anyone wanting to beat their personal best
Italian football matches in San Siro Stadium are very popular . The city has two football teams, AC Milan and FC Inter
There are also big events in the city every year including European or world championships, international contests and the Formula 1 Grand Prix in MonzaMilan is not far from the Alps, so it is very easy to get to the major ski resorts in just a few hours

Sport Centres

The CUS (University Athletic Centre) has several division teams, athletics, rugby, tennis, sailing, swimming and water polo, ice hockey, rowing, canoeing, volleyball, softball and basketball, as well as a range of fitness courses open to students at all levels

CUS Milano is the perfect place for anyone who loves sport: you can participate in the various activity sections and sports clubs, either on a competitive basis or just for recreation

And that's not all: CUS Milano also organizes tournaments among the various universities and departments, and international sports meetings (summer and winter) with contingents from foreign universities and campuses

In Milan you can also do sports in parks such as the central Parco Sempione or Parco Nord, Bosco in Città and Parco di Trenno
